New Laser Welding Technology at Metalle in Form
August1999; Karlsruhe/Germany. If more than just the permanency of a welded connection is important, for example a microfine structure in the weld, no warping in the component, no coloring on the weld, and corrosion resistance resulting from pure welding fillers, then laser welding is the technology with satisfies these requirements particularly well.
Hilmar John, the company manager, says "For us a processor of stainless steel and a manufacturer of precision components and modules, these were increasingly requested demands of our customers".
Metalle in Form can now offer laser welding for the manufacture of modules in addition to the previous techniques of soldering and MAG/MIG/WIG arc welding. As a system supplier for device components and function units, the company uses a production line which is largely CNC-controlled for the processing of non-cutting and cutting stainless steel and nonferrous metals. The further manufacturing fields of pipe-bending and finishing technology as well as complete assembly mean that Metalle in Form is a partner for customers involved with advanced appliance manufacture.
